Kallen really changes her feelings kinda fast. I'm not sure if this is really confirmed yet, but she called Suzaku in one ep. brother, but has no problem killing him. And she liked Lulouche, but also has no problem killing him... The Guren is also too cruel of a machine, with it's gamma rays. If you have a superior machine, you can, and should act like Kira and not aim for the cockpits.
